St Johns’s 2019 Diakonia Project
This Year’s St Johns Dance Teams will learn how to bless a child overseas through a gift-filled shoebox, given in Jesus’ Name.
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me,
and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” ~ Matthew 19:14
We are pleased to announce our Diakonia project, “Operation Christmas Child.” The purpose of the project is to pack shoebox gifts each year to bless children in need around the world and introduce them to Jesus Christ. Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift.
- Pick up your box during coffee hour if you have not already done so & decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14. Pack your box with love and prayer. You can also include a personal note and photo.
- Complete & pay for your shipping label online at: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/follow-your-box/
- Drop off your filled box with the completed and paid label to St. John’s Community Center by 11/17
- Dance Ministry Group Picture 11/17 at 12:30pm in Large Hall and wear your St. John Dance T-Shirt!
We greatly appreciate your support as we work through Samaritan’s Purse to provide physical and spiritual aid to suffering people worldwide in the Name of Jesus Christ. Your generosity will enable us to continue sharing the love of Christ and the hope of the Gospel. Thank you again, and may God bless you.
